Not only known for its famous “Cuckoo Clock”, but ‘Schwarzwald’, or commonly known as ‘Black Forest’ is also known as the birth place of the “Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte” or we call it “Black Forest Cake”.
Located in Southwest Germany,
‘Black Forest’ name describes the dark firs and pines that cover the mountainous region. In this remote place, “Black Forest Cake” was invented by Josef Keller in 1915. This remarkable cake represents the German Culture since it resembles the colors of the Black Forest and its specialty in producing Cherry Liqueurs.
